IMPORTANT NOTICE

In view of the recent events, the Embassy of Italy urges all nationals resident in Kuwait to avoid places of assembly, in particular in the vicinity of worship places during and after the ritual prayers. All nationals are also invited to keep a low profile and avoid behavior that might be considered offensive to Islamic morality.

In this regard, we remind that, during the month of Ramadan in Kuwait, it is strictly prohibited and punishable by the law to smoke, eat or drink in public places during the fastings hours, also for non-Muslim visitors.

Finally, it is recommended a high level of vigilance in public places, particularly those visited by foreigners such as hotels, restaurants and shopping malls.
